SIDC to Hold a Legislative Briefing on the Medicare Common Access Card Act

The Secure ID Coalition is thrilled to announce that it will hold a legislative briefing for Capitol Hill staff and issue stakeholders discussing the Medicare Common Access Card Act on Wednesday, March 23rd.

The Medicare Common Access Card Act (H.R. 3220 / S. 1781) is a bipartisan measure that calls for the adoption of a Medicare beneficiary smart card in order to reduce Medicare fraud, protect seniors’ identities and move Medicare into the 21st century.

The event will feature Representatives Peter Roskam (R-IL) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), the bill’s sponsors, in addition to a panel of representatives from key stakeholder groups. It will begin at 11:30 AM in room HC-8 of the U.S. Capitol Building.
